For each of our shows, we invite Peter Marr to pick his favorite photographs from the work of the featured photographers and the guest photographers. Peter had quite a challenge with so many exceptional photographs to consider. 

 

From the exceptional presentation by the Victor High School photography students, Peter picked Truth by Tori Putch shown at the left, commenting "This intriguing image is beautifully arranged, photographed and presented. It leaves the viewer with a whole range of options as to what the author is stating, what she meant us to see, and what we really do see. Great picture."

The partners at Image City are pleased to announce that Don Menges has joined us as a partner of the gallery. Don retired several years ago as a former math teacher and he was the first Technology Integration Teacher in New York State. He is a member of several local and national photography clubs, groups, and associations. In his enthusiasm for photography he says "I enjoy photographing everything, always looking for that image that clearly defines a person, a place, or a thing. Often it's just capturing an image that describes an ordinary thing in an extraordinary manner." Don was honored by having his photo at High Falls (shown above) selected in the current issue of Shutterbug magazine for their assignment "A River Runs Through It". The photograph is currently part of the Photographer's Path 12 exhibit at High Falls Gallery. Don will begin to exhibit his work at Image City with the next show beginning April 22. Photographers, be on the lookout for an upcoming announcement about an exciting opportunity to participate in a juried event this summer at Image City. Following the success of our "The Magic of Light" juried show last January, our survey of photographers showed that there was a high level of interest in another opportunity. We have teamed up with Lumiere Photo, 439 Monroe Avenue, who is sponsoring the event with us. We are working up the final details of the announcement, so stay tuned and start thinking "Portfolio".
